JVC is King for real for real. I've been using them forever. I have multiple LS 300 and HM 200s now but been rocking with them for way longer. They are so so so underrated. very reliable and affordable. I've bought and sold by canons and Sony multiple time but I rock my JVCs until they die.

4 years late on this.... but is it not possible to directly connect this to a PC as a camera instead of using WiFi?

I tried reaching out to jvc several times, all with zero success rate. I cannot in good conscience, continue to support a company that willfully chooses to ignore the very people who made them the powerhouse company they've become. They are aloof, impossible to reach and if contact info can be found, they choose to blatantly and openly ignore us. We made them. We, as the everyday consumer who often never have enough money, are the same ones that helped build JVC. We bought their products by the millions and they grew into this big too goddamned big for their britches corporation. They shut us out and refuse to have anything to do with the general public. That, even though it's the same general public that are their real breadwinners and are their real and truest source of income. Without the general public and common everyday folk to buy their shit, they would be nothing. They owe us everything, but treat us like we don't exist and like we don't matter. So... fuck jvc. I'm done. And I've unsubscribed from them. Now, I am going with a competitor of theirs. A competitor with real, live and actual customer service. Something these assholes are lacking...

I have posted a couple of angry comments about how JVC Corp is not forthcoming, and how they lack any adequate or meaningful form of direct contact. The posts were on different videos. They have no email, no direct toll free number... nothing but a bunch of useless electronic, digital runaround options including voicemail and a long line and plethora of commercial and sales ads. To be fair, I used to really enjoy JVC products and had the pleasure of owning many of their products. This especially includes their audio electronics items like recorders. Sadly, I never had the opportunity to even try JVC's lineup of camcorders and video cameras. I probably severed any and all hope of ever connecting with JVC about that, or at all because of my angry posts. I do not do posts lightly. If I was angry it was for good reason. If I post or write favorable comments, it too and likewise, is for good reason. I looked at the JVC GY-HC500U for a very long time and considered finding a way to purchase one. But not having a way to connect with JVC so I could talk to someone knowledgeable about that unit, I abandoned the idea of buying one. Instead, I am going with a Panasonic HC-X2 camcorder. I initially considered the Panasonic HC-X1500, it's smaller predecessor. However, and after careful and due consideration I altered my decision process and have settled on the Panasonic HC-X2 4K Handheld. Yes, it's more expensive than the JVC GY-HC500. But it also has more advanced features not available that the HC-X2 has built right in. I figured out a way to raise funds to buy a new professional camcorder. I am doing a fundraiser. Had JVC been more forthcoming and more open with the general public and its everyday consumer, which I happen to be one, I would be looking to spend my money there. But sadly, it's not to be... Panasonic was kind enough to respond directly to my email queries and have been open and forthcoming. Something that JVC is not and does NOT do. Panasonic won me over as a future customer/client because of their openness. JVC lost me as a potential customer. Unless they change their ways and are more forthcoming, it isn't likely that I will be purchasing any JVC products in the foreseeable future. If you don't want to recognize and refuse to acknowledge me, then you don't deserve my business. I'm posting this comment here because it's the only means of connecting with them. The public at large will see and read this... so much the better and no matter. I prefer hands-on and proactive communications with people and business whom I choose to conduct business with. It's too bad that I can't do that with JVC. But, "It is what it is" I suppose.

Hello, I understand that the LS300 can do stream as well, is there a difference in functionality of both when it comes to streaming alone? The LS300 seemed to be a better camera image quality wise because of the Super 35 sensor size.

Now make a series with FULL NDI. HX has some packet loss and resolution differences being somewhat compressed. Some folks have a network structure to handle the bandwidth. It would also be great to see one with SFP+ on the back as well as a more advanced controller

The only thing that would make this handheld camcorder form factor perfect is if the viewfinder could just rotate downward an extra 45 degrees or so. There have been some occasions where I have to extend the tripod to maximum height (e.g., to get static shots of traffic signs, etc., that are mounted pretty high). I didn't have an apple box with me, so I had rely on the flip-out LCD screen, which was almost totally washed out from the glare of the sun. So that's No. 2 to make these camcorders perfect, make the LCD screens SUPER BRIGHT, like 2000 nits or more. I don't care if it affects battery life, I'll buy more batteries.

Hi good day. I live in Trinidad in the Caribbean and have been livestreaming funerals and a few weddings using a Sony HDRFX1 through a composite to USB device which I then convert to USB-C and capture in the USB Camera app. To stream I would create two streams, one for the event and one for my app to be able to send the video from the camera through my phone over LTE to obs then send that live feed to the event stream with overlays, music etc from obs. My laptop remains at home connected to my internet to ensure I have a proper and consistent internet signal. I have control of my laptop from my cell phone via the anydesk app, so I can remotely access the laptop and be able to use OBS from the streaming location. I said all this to say that your video has been exceptionally helpful in helping me pinpoint a camera system to work towards getting. When I first learned about SRT, I have been trying to get an app that would work to transmit SRT from my phone to OBS over LTE networks, so far nada. This camera seems to be what I need to make that happen though. May take a few years because it's a costly camera, but I know now what I'm working towards, thanks to you. Keep up the good work.

This work perfectly when I first got this cam. Now with the latest 2022 firmware, cannot get it to work no matter what I do. It was so easy before. I don't get it. All I get is a constant yellow live indicator.

Why do your pro sumer cameras cap out at 720p I understand the bit rate required for 1080p but clients just want the 1080 number

Thanks for this tutorial. I have a problem when I'm trying to set a stream with my PZ200N camera. I'm trying to send signal from the camera to Vmix through SRT or RTMP but until now I have never received the signal in Vmix no matter how I set the camera in the JVC ip browser menu. It's like there is no connection between them. What should I do? What are the steps necessary to be done in JVC IP browser menu?
